AMS Swim Club at UBC
About Us
We will provide you with opportunities to meet and practice together for leisurely and competitive purposes.

Our goal is to build a community of fitness oriented individuals, to promote proper nutrition and to support a balanced lifestyle through swimming.
​
We meet three time a week for one hour to complete the practices that are made by our volunteer student coaches. We're always looking for new coaches, so if you would like to grow your leadership and teaching skills, please send us an email and join our awesome team.

BLUE
For those swimmer who have never swim competitively but are keen to learn all about the sport! You can have the opportunity to learn or improve your freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke or butterfly. As long as you can swim two lengths of the pool, this group is the perfect starting point for your university swimming career. Come and try it out to see if this is the group you belong in.

SILVER
For those swimmers who have swam competitively before and want to get back into it. Don't worry if it's been a while since you've made a splash, most people on this level are at the same point. You can probably swim most strokes confidently, but if not, don't stress: we'll have you there in no time at all! Join us at our next practice to see if this group is right for you.

Gold
If you've swam competitively before and are confident in all the strokes as well as dives and turns, this is the group for you. Don't worry, though, our coaches will still guide your technique to have it better than ever. This group is our most intense, but don't let that intimidate you! Challenge yourself: come out to see if you have what it takes to keep up with these swimmers.
